Hired Chris to do the video and photography for our summer wedding. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. We finally got our photos, video and album six months after the wedding date and that was with much follow up on our part. In eight hours, only 400 images were taken. So many photo opportunities were missed such as a picture of the groom as the bride walks in, our rings, images of our guests (there are NONE), our mc's, one was my brother. It's like no one else other than the wedding party existed or attended our wedding. If that's all your going to take pictures of, then you need to take a lot more usable and creative photos. There were only two images of me walking down the aisle with my father and two of my husband and I walking down the aisle. This alone is unacceptable considering the size of the aisle and the images that were taken were nothing special. I've been tagged in facebook photographs that look 100x better than the ones Chris took. We don't even have any photos of our reception venue indicating where the reception took place.Although we hired a photographer and videographer, we received a photographer and an incompetent assistant. The other photographer-videographer that went to take pictures and video of the groom and groomsmen before the wedding was useless. There is no video footage from this time and no good images of the groom getting ready with his groomsmen. What a huge waste of money. The end products were not at all creative or original. There are no images that we absolutely love. When I saw the video for the first time, I had to say, are you kidding me?! In our wedding video Chris thought it would be a good idea to put in, me saying during the service "If I sit, you sit too" when I was not feeling well. He also decided to include one of the priests asking if I needed water... WTH? There is even a part where I am rolling my eyes in our wedding video. Unbelievable. We thought we were hiring the best. What a joke. It's so sad that there are so many images missing that we thought our wedding photographer of 10+ years would take. Of all the wedding vendors we had to communicate with, Chris is the absolute worst. He never returns calls or emails. I had to write on his facebook wall to email me back multiple times. It was the only way I would get a response from him. I would never recommend Chris to anyone, not even my worst enemy. I would never want someone else to be as disappointed as I was with a photographer not being able to capture our once in a lifetime moments. Moments we can never get back or do over and which we have no photos or video of.

Chris Croy photography was absolutely amazing to work with! He is HANDS DOWN the best photographer, and believe me I did my research before I even called to discuss style/price etc. To me, photography was the one thing on my wedding day that I would not compromise on and that is why I chose Chris Croy. I knew that whatever I asked for he would deliver, as well as give us photographs to last a lifetime.

Overall, I was very happy with my wedding pictures, album and video from Chris Croy. He was recommended to me by a wedding planner and when I saw his work, I knew I didn't need to look any further. He shot my engagement session and also provided Save the Date cards as part of my package. He and an assistant shot the entire wedding day in both still shots and video. They were both professional and unobtrusive during the ceremony. He has a very creative eye for his pictures. He designed a beautiful album for us and was very flexible in making only a few adjustments so that we had the perfect final product. The "Photo Fusion" video was also amazing! He blends still photos into the video and it makes for a very cool experience to re-live that day. It's not just a boring filming of the whole ceremony from start to finish. He captures the important things on video and then solidifies those moments by "fusing" in the still photo of those special moments. I still receive compliments whenever I show them to people. I will cherish my album and video for years to come! I do have one comment to make about my rating for responsiveness. After my wedding, I felt like a couple of times I had to remind him that he promised my album or video by a certain date and that I hadn't seen the finished product yet. My wedding was in September, so I think he was very busy and sometimes I felt like ours kept getting pushed to the back of the line. But in the scope of things, I have heard many photographers don't get their albums and videos out for many months after a wedding. That being said, I still had both my completed album and video before Christmas! And I couldn't be happier with the end result, but I thought I should share this comment as well.

The wedding day started out with Chris taking photos of me and my bridesmaids. I had a lot of fun during this part, it made me feel like I was a star. He then picked a meeting spot for my husband and me to meet before the wedding. The spot he picked was a great spot, we were able to be alone, but our families and friends were able to see us from a distance. Also, Chris was able to capture the moment from a distance. We then headed to different locations (3 other locations) in downtown St. Louis. Chris scheduled the timing, so we didn't have to rush through the pictures and we had enough time to enjoy ourselves and our wedding party in the limo. It was hot out, so he also made sure he only had those that were needed in the shots. We let Chris pick the spots for the photographs, which we loved each spot. We were looking for creative pictures, not normal, posed wedding pictures, so it was an easy decision to go with Chris after seeing his photos from other weddings. We definitely got the creative photos that we were looking for. We then had time to go to the location of the ceremony/reception and take pictures with family before the wedding. After the wedding, we were able to go get one shot that my husband and I really wanted, which is now displayed on our bedroom wall. We also have great pictures from the ceremony and the wedding, even the fireworks that went off at the end of the evening. Finally, he wanted to get some shots of us in the evening, which we gladly agreed with. After the wedding, we met him in the park, took some great night time photos and he took us back to the hotel. I know it was no limo, but I think we spent enough money :). All in all, I think he spent about 10 hours shooting our wedding day. The end result was fantastic. We loved, loved, loved our video. Probably the best part of the experience. He even made sure we had our IPad loaded with our video before our honeymoon. Our second surprise came when we received the photo album. We loved, loved, loved the photo album. We have received a ton of compliments on the album. I think those 2 things are the most important part of a wedding photographer because those are the things that matter in the future. I can't tell you how many times I watched our wedding video! There were a couple of photos that I felt like I was missing, but after having all the pictures back, it didn't really matter and we had a ton of pictures that other people took. If you are worried about that, just make sure he has a list of the pictures you would like. I do feel that he was an expensive photographer, but we were pleased with the service and the end result. We will be looking to use Chris's moving pictures and art of photography in the future. There may have been a time or two where he didn't respond as quickly as I would have liked, but nothing that caused me stress. He was very prompt on our wedding day, even with a parade going on downtown STL. He also was great at accomodating our schedule. I forgot to mention that we had a great engagement photo session, I thought the price was just right. I also thought his assistant was good, very nice and easy to work with.

To my husband and I, photography was one of the most important things in planning our wedding. I thought I had found a great photographer in Chris Croy, but I was unfortunately very mistaken. He did not make any effort to contact me prior to the wedding to discuss what I would like and even didn't return my phone calls when I tried to initiate this conversation. He missed SO MANY moments from our wedding that we will NEVER get back. There are NO pictures of our parents during the ceremony. NO pictures of people dancing at the reception. NO pictures of our custom cigars. NO pictures of me in the back of the church. Precious few pictures of our wedding party. And he even denied our request to go to another location to take a few pics. This honestly breaks my heart. So many moments that were missed. And not because I didn't request them.Additionally, after our wedding day, Chris was completely unresponsive and unprofessional. I would not recommend this vendor and wish there was anything I could do to have pictures of our wedding day. So disappointing.

I cannot say enough good things about this amazing photographer! She is so talented, she has such a kind heart, she is unobtrusive on your wedding day, yet able to get some of the most touching pictures .You'll see her website and know that those photos are the same quality you'll actually get on YOUR wedding day!

My husband and I were very fortunate to have the pleasure of working with Chris Croy for our engagement and wedding memories. Chris was extremely interested in learning about David and I prior to working together. Our relationship developed through this process. Chris understood our likes, dislikes and what we considered to be very important to us. He worked closely with with our wedding planner, floral designer, venue coordinators and musicians to ensure that everything was coordinated properly. Our wedding photos captured everything that provided the story of the weekend's activities, as well as the emotions and feelings of the wedding family, party, and guests. The photos were excellent, but the video has provided our family life long "Living Memories" of that very special day. Having the ability to have the photographer also work on the videography provided us the opportunity to capture everything just as our memories occurred. Chris is truly a creative director and ensures that every moment is captured in the manner in which you want the memory to last for a lifetime.Melissa St. Louis, MO

After speaking with Chris for the first time over the phone he and I agreed he would shoot my wedding. He instructed me to mail my down payment and he would mail me the contract. I mail in our check and wait for the contract. A couple of weeks past and no sign of the contract. Several phone calls and emails later someone finally responds. To my surprise it is not Chris that responds but his assistant. The assistant tells me that Chris will no longer be shooting my wedding. Instead he will be shooting my wedding. This is not how I understood it would work. I thought booking Chris Croy and speaking with Chris Croy meant I got the photographer Chris Croy. Having said this maybe it was a blessing in disquise Chris was not our photographer. Chris's assistant assures me they have our wedding date down and we set up a time for he and I to meet, go over, and sign the contract. The assistant and I have our meeting and it goes well. I am very pleased with the assistant. The day of our wedding arrives and Chris's assistant and another female assistant from Chris Croy do an incredible job at our wedding. They were professional, friendly and the pictures they took were outstanding.A couple weeks later our images were posted online. Because our package did not come with parent albums are family and friends were interested in ordering photos. The orders were not only expensive but needed to be done quickly. The images were only available to view on line for a very short period of time. (I still receive notifications about my friends photographs from a year ago, not at Chirs Croy) You would think we would want people to order. Today 4 months after my wedding I have not received my album with 50 images. My suggestion would be to do research on what you get for the cost. With Chris Croy you get their time plus 50 images for $3,000. Not a good deal. They took over 700 photos and I get 50 of them for $3,000 what a rip off. The pictures were good, but I've seen a lot of good photos. Find a photographer that is not only talented but professional too!

My name is Louis J. Neal and I would like to explain why Chris Croy is the epitome of professionalism. I knew about Chris' work because a friend of mine used him for his wedding. I had lost contact with that particular friend for a while and I didn't get a chance to get Chris Croy's information, so I went with another photographer. Needless to say, the other photographer ruined our wedding pictures which ultimately left me in the dog house with my new wife. So I had to do something. As luck would have it, or divine intervention from the one above, I reconnected with the friend that hired Chris to do his wedding. I called Chris and told him the situation and he was more than happy to help us out. We were able to take most of our pictures over and I will tell you that his work is awesome. Chris really has an eye for this. His attention to detail, the photographic situations he put you in and the way he uses various lighting situations allows him to produce portraits you can only find in upscale magazines. He is an awesome man, a great professional photographer that's very knowledgeable about his craft and I would definitely refer him to anyone I know who wants to document significant moments in their lives. Chris Croy Photography is the one to go with.Louis J. Neal

Chris is an incredible photographer who truly captures your vision for your special day! He goes above and beyond to get those perfect shots and details to compile a beautiful album. In addition, his "moving pictures", or videos, that accompany his photography are just as beautiful and impactful. I have no regrets and will cherish my photographs for the rest of my life. He is highly recommended and you will not be disappointed.

Choosing Chris Croy-Moving Pictures was the best choice we made for our wedding. Not only are the photos professional and outstanding, but Chris truly listens to what you want. He's brilliant at what he does, and since our wedding, we have hired him to take photos of our son/family as well. I treasure the work he has done for our family, and I have never seen anything that matches his quality and talent. Everyone that sees our photos taken by Chris ALWAYS comments how amazing they are.

Chris Croy's works stands out above the rest. He did our engagement and wedding photos and I couldn't have been happier with them. I was looking for someone who could really capture what we were feeling that day and he absolutely delivered! I saw Chris Croy's work for the first time at a wedding fair. I wanted to be blown away and literally I was when I went down the aisle where his beautiful work was displayed. You can't help but stop and stare at his dreamy photos! There are many differences between his work and that of others in the field but one is his understanding of lighting. You'll notice how other photographer's photos are often times over or under exposed. And when you're choosing a wedding photographer for one of the biggest days in your life, you want to be sure they capture all of the beautiful moments and capture them well. I was talking with a friend (who worked with a different photographer for her wedding), and she told me that her photographer stated that they (other photographers in the area) all look up to Chris Croy and could only hope that they could even come close to be as talented as he is. She went on to say that they all try to emulate him and that he is "the one to beat". That pretty much sums it up :) I truly hope you choose Chris to be your photographer so you can be as pleased as we were.

Chris Croy and his team were fantastic to work with. At first, we were hesitant because Chris' prices were among the highest of the other photographers that we spoke with. However, we were very impressed by his portfolio and albums that he had done in the past and his photos seemed to be much more current, artistic and modern. He was the first photographer we met with and nobody else measured up after that.We had several friends get married right around the same time as we did and they all opted for less expensive photographers. Each of them had some kind of issue arise either the day or the wedding or after the wedding when they were ordering prints/putting albums together. Our experience with Chris was excellent from beginning to end. While I had friends looking at their wedding photos for the first time and saying that they had "just expected to have more good shots", I loved all of the pictures so much, I had a hard time choosing what 100 would go in our album!I am SO happy that we chose Chris Croy for our wedding photography. I LOVE our album and it is really the best keepsake we have from our wedding day. I sincerely feel that the money we spent on having Chris photograph our wedding was the best value and of the best quality of any wedding photos/albums I have seen. I would highly recommend Chris and his team. We have beautiful, artistic wedding pictures that make amazing framed pictures in our home. People still comment on how our wedding pictures are the best and most creative of any they have seen...I cannot say enough positive words about them. The team was very kind, prompt, and easy to work with. I did not have to call them constantly to make sure we were on the same page or worry about them showing up on time or doing what we agreed they would do on the wedding day. Some of my favorite pictures are ones that they took when we didn't even know they were taking pictures. They were organized, offered suggestions on how to make sure we got pictures with all of the guests that we wanted to and helped to make that happen (so many of our friends that have gotten married later realize that they forgot to get pictures with their grandmother, aunt, or someone else that they had meant to get a picture with). They were awesome at the Church with getting a bunch of group pictures done in an organized and fun way! Also, we had a blast going to a couple of sites around town to take our couple and wedding party pictures and they were amazing. We left the location choices totally up to Chris and could not have been happier with the results. Who knew that our favorite wedding pictures would end up being at the Muny? That is a location that I never would have thought of. After choosing Chris and experiencing being a part of wedding parties with other photographers and having sisters-in-law trying to save money by using less expensive photography, I am 100% convinced that Chris and his team are worth every penny and they are the best in St. Louis.
