I am so appreciative of the service Ryan provided and photos Ryan created for us. He took beautiful pictures that captured all the right moments. Our first look sequence he created perfectly captured all the emotions we were feeling and he never failed to capture the funny moments of the day as well. The day was filled with many changes and alterations as it rained right before and right after the ceremony. Ryan was flexible and professional. Despite the hiccups, Ryan captured some beautiful shots that we will have for a lifetime. Great photographer that I would highly recommend.

I highly recommend Ryan Gladstone to any bride that is looking for a wedding photographer who approaches weddings from a photojournalistic perspective. I was in the market for a photographer who could really capture the story of our wedding. We ended up with the perfect balance of amazing candid shots, as well as unique portraits. We can now relive our wedding day by just browsing through his photos. My father-in-law, who is an accomplished artist, also insists he's never seen better wedding photographs.

Ryan took photos for our wedding, and we are so happy with the results. He was easy to work with and was able to meet with us on the weekend since we live out of town, and was very responsive via e-mail. The pictures turned out wonderfully and now we have something great to remember our big day.

Cannot say enough good things about Ryan. He has a professional yet laid-back demeanor. He worked with us to figure out what our priorities were for our wedding day and to make the photos what we wanted, rather than trying to force his ideas onto us.He bent over backwards to accomodate our schedule; he rescheduled some of his other commitments so we could have our engagement shoot on the day I wanted (while the cherry and pear trees were blooming in the Botanical Garden). He has a great artistic eye for his subjects, seeing people and scenes from different angles than the rest of us non-photographers do. He captured great moments on our wedding day without us even being aware that he was there for much of the time; I definitely did not sense that we were staging/posing for the camera, we were just having our (wonderful!) day. He did offer some suggestions for posing during the more formal wedding party photos. He even stood in a six inch deep puddle of water (it had rained earlier in the day) to shoot the wedding party photos pre-ceremony from the best angle. He returned our engagement and wedding photos much more quickly than many other photographers do.... a week or two for the engagement pics, about a month for the wedding pics. It was really great to have the photos to relive the day while it was still relatively fresh in our minds. The second photographer that Ryan hired was also extremely high quality, a wedding photographer in her own right.Recommend, recommend, recommend.

We have one word to describe Ryan - exceptional. He took complete care of us and dealt with all my pre-wedding obsessions, from looking at the weather 4 times a day the week prior to accommodating all our (unusual) requests. On the day of, he came early and stayed late. The day got a little off schedule and fuddled, but he took everything in stride. Our images completely captured the feel of the day, and many surprised us with the subtle beauty he was able to capture. We received so many compliments for choosing him - and that was even before we received our photos. I whole-heartedly recommend Ryan. He is everything (and more) we looked for in a photographer.

Ryan was the perfect photographer for our venue. Even in the most bleak, dull winter weather, he managed to take beautiful outdoor photos that I can't wait to frame! His laid-back style and patience was just what my family and I needed on the craziest of days and on a tight schedule. I highly recommend the package that includes the display box and 4-6 prints; it's a unique way to keep your memories safe. Ryan also made a point to meet with my husband and I the day before, in order to scout our location for good backgrounds. We were initially interested in Ryan's services because of the excellentwork showcased on his website and blog. We were drawn in by his ability to capture genuine moments. Our priority with the photos was to get a record of everything that happened during the wedding, with less of an emphasis on formal portraits or posed scenes. Ryan's style perfectlymatched our preferences. For both our engagement shoot and our wedding photos, the vast majority of pictures were natural views of people enjoying themselves.While what we wanted most were candid shots, Ryan provided excellentformal shots as well. My wife and I both think we've never lookedbetter than in our wedding portrait. Ryan worked quickly through alarge list of family portraits, managing infants through grandparentswith aplomb. We also both have very large families, and knew we wanted family reunion style shots. With groups of as many as 40 people, Ryan got everyone arranged and smiling in a matter of minutes, making these the nicest and easiest family pictures we've ever taken.Ryan was also extremely respectful of our guests. Without any specialinstructions from us he took extra time to get group shots of ourdifferent circles of friends as they congregated during the reception,and also the members of the wedding party with their significant others.Finally, a word should be said about Ryan's generosity with his time.He showed up early, got shots of the venue and the decor, and thendocumented our preparations. But he also stuck around after thereception and took us out to a nearby public park, where we and thewedding party took the best pictures of the day. In this casual outdoorsetting Ryan once again demonstrated his eye for color and composition,resulting in some one of a kind shots that are still making us smile.

We feel very fortunate to have had Ryan as our photographer. His work is truly artistic and captured so many emotions. We met with other photographers before we made our decision, but Ryan was the perfect choice. We couldn't have asked for anything more!

We used Ryan for our engagement and wedding pictures. He was wonderful and the pictures are great. If I ever need a photographer, I would absolutely use him in the future.Ryan was very prompt and easy to work with. I actually enjoyed getting my picture taken all day. We got married on the hottest day of the year (112 heat index), and he still took pictures outside. Not only that, but I think he cared more than I did about getting the best shot. When we arrived at the reception (on time), I expected him to leave right after the cake cutting and first dance. He stayed until 20 minutes before the reception ended, far exceeding my expectations. There were so many pictures, it took him a little longer to edit them. To compensate us, he offered a print credit. The pictures turned out great and I'm very happy with them.On the logistics side, money was looking tight before the wedding, so we worked out a payment plan with him. He was very flexible and easy to work with. All in all, we ended up with almost 700 great pictures. I'm so happy.

We had a great time working with Ryan. The pictures turned out better than I could have imagined. He really knows how to capture the day and the people who were to share it with us.

Ryan is a stupendous artist and we are beyond thrilled with our photos from the wedding day (and engagement shoot). Ryan is super laid back, but he easily takes charge. Our wedding party was pretty big - 14 of us - and he was good at getting the group to pay attention and to look awesome in the pictures. At our engagement shoot, I was kind of nervous to be in front of the camera (I don't like a lot of attention on me) but he made us feel super comfortable by just chatting. He's willing to listen to ideas, too - I had heard horror stories about some larger photography companies in the area that are somewhat set on the locations of the shoots. But Ryan was open to ideas and super adventurous (shooting in an alleyway in downtown St. Louis? Maybe not for everyone, but me and Pete (the husband) loved it, along with the rest of our wedding party). He's wonderful at email/phone call responses, too - very quick to respond with the information that you want/need. We had such a blast shooting with Ryan for both our engagement pictures and wedding pictures. We have gotten so many compliments from family and friends about his work and while we're not planning on getting married again anytime soon, I hope we have the pleasure of working with him in the future.

Ryan is great! He was really good at listening to what we wanted for our big day and following through with everything we talked about. We really wanted a more journalistic style and we hardly noticed that he was with us all day. The results are great and we have photos that we will cherish forever. And for the biggest plus he gives you the proofs to do with what you want--- huge money saver!!

When the wedding was all said and done, we found ourselves wondering what happened. It went by so fast! The most important investment we made was in the memories, and Ryan made sure we kept ours.When photographs started we were already behind schedule, but Ryan's coolness under pressure and incredible eye for beautiful photography led to photographs that look like we had an 8 hour photo shoot!We couldn't recommend Ryan more. Ryan Gladstone Photography was the perfect choice for my wedding. I have fantastic pictures to remember my special day. Ryan was very professional, efficient and easy to work with.

As a couple that thought they were totally un-photogenic, Ryan achieved what we thought was impossible. With low expectations (due to our photo history, not his) we were going to be completely satisfied if there were a handful of good pictures from our engagement session. When we received the pictures back from Ryan.... we were amazed! He had captured tons of great photos of us... somehow amidst our awkwardness on that day, he captured the ease we have when we are not in front of the camera. Needless to say, we were so excited about the wedding pictures to come!On our wedding day, Ryan was really perceptive to what we wanted as well as very innovative in his own ideas. He made us look more beautiful in pictures than we actually are (always a sign of great photography!), and captured some really amazing moments. Everyone from my mother-in-law to my younger brother cannot stop talking about how great the pictures are. We literally could not be more pleased. Ryan's work is unique, artistic, and timeless. We are so thankful he captured our day in such a great way!
