I could not recommend Rev. Khleber Van Zandt of First Unitarian Church in Alton, IL highly enough. My husband and I contacted him at the eleventh hour after it became clear that we did not have an ideal fit with our first officiate. Months before, my husband and I, with the help of Internet websites and Rev. Judith Johnson's book, "The Wedding Ceremony Planner: The Essential Guide to the Most Important Part of Your Wedding Day," began crafting a ceremony that worked for us and reflected our beliefs. While Khleber has his own wedding book that he encourages couples to look through and draw from, he reviewed the ceremony we put together and was very receptive to it. He spent an hour and a half getting to know us, reviewing the ceremony with us and sharing helpful feedback. He suggested a few changes, but left the final decisions up to us. His dedication to his profession, interest in and responsiveness to the needs and desires of the couples he works with, professionalism and dependability made him such a joy to work with. He also had a great sense of humor and was able to really put us at ease. To top it all off, he performed a beautiful service. As is likely evident from what you've read thus far, my husband and I would wholeheartedly recommend Rev. Khleber Van Zandt.
