Third Degree was the perfect location for our reception. My husband and I are both artists and wanted a very inspiring/non-banquet hall environment. Third Degree had the exact look and feel we were going for. Rachael was very easy to work with and was very patient with us in the final crazy weeks preceding the wedding. The only reason I didn't give Third Degree a perfect score is because we felt a little shoved out the door by the employees at the end of the night. We completely understand that everyone wanted to go home, but it was sort of a bummer ending to a perfect night. We are still very happy with our decision to book Third Degree and would definitely recommend it to future brides and grooms!

They were so flexible! This is a truely one of a kind venue! The inside was more than anything I could've asked for! The glass work was beautiful and they allowed me to use some of them as center pieces! The staff is so wonderful, especially Rachael! I only had the chance to decorate half of the venue because we were running late. I was going to to send someone back from the ceremony to finish it but thankfully, to my surprise, the staff there finished the tables for me without me asking. That was probably the most touching thing ever! I'm am so grateful! Also I was able to hire an artist to do a glass blowing demonstration to entertain the guest while we had pictures taken.

One of the best things is that they let us bring in our own caterer, which given that we had to have a kosher one, was a big consideration. They have to do the beverages, but they were perfectly willing to order kosher wine for us. And they'd never dealt with an orthodox Jewish wedding before, but they were very willing to find out what we needed and how to make it work. We did this almost all long distance too, and it still worked. Plus, the place is beautiful, with glass everywhere. We saved a bundle on centerpieces, since they put glass pieces on the tables at no extra cost.

We wanted a unique, memorable venue. Third Degree was perfect, as it's a working glass studio and art gallery. (Surrounded by pedestals of colorful glass and backed by a wall of tall windows, our huppah didn't even require any extra decoration.) People who are interested in having a more "downtown loft" or "industrial" feel to their event should especially consider Third Degree, as it has all the required elements -- exposed brick, high ceilings, big windows, and a city zip code. Cost: I didn't find a cheaper option in the city, and it was considerably less expensive than downtown loft spaces like Moulin. They require you to use their bar service, but even that was less expensive than many other packages/venues I researched.Flexibility: 1) The space is open and allows for many setup options, with some exceptions (decibel level for amplified music, and you have to set up tables at least 3 or 4' away from the art), and it handles bright colors well. You can make this space feel cozy and intimate, sophisticated and elegant, or modernist and spare. You can't make it look like a country club, but if you want a country club you won't want Third Degree anyway. 2) The staff was flexible, allowing me to customize the open bar package and use my own caterer (the latter was a HUGE factor in my decision). And my goodness, they were so patient with all those months of my questions, phone calls, emails, visits!Possible downside: It's a working artists' studio, not a dedicated wedding venue. It doesn't have things like a pre-ceremony lounge or a coat-check room. The floor is concrete and the ducts are exposed; it's not spotlessly clean everywhere. (Don't worry, the event rooms and bathrooms *are* clean.) But, for me, the rough edges and unpretentiousness of the space only added to the character of the whole wedding -- and our guests found it all quite charming, really.

We had our reception at Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis this year, and it was an absolutely gorgeous venue! We could chose to bring in any caterer we wanted and the staff was extremely flexible and helpful all the way.We had a seated dinner in one of the beautiful galleries, and a large dance floor with a staffed bar in the other gallery. Our guests could enjoy watching amazing glass artists blow glass throughout the evening, which added ambiance and excitement to the party! The space was easy to decorate in the ways we wanted, and all the glass on display was there to add to the romantic feeling from the burning fires. We could not have asked for more fun and romance on our wedding day. I would highly recommend that you check it out if you are just beginning to plan your wedding. The place is understandably popular, so be early. We chose to have our wedding on a Friday to get the weekend we wanted.Good luck!

TDGF was wonderful to work with. My wife (then fiancée) and I booked both our wedding ceremony and reception there in a hurry when our prior scheduled venue became abruptly unaccommodating. We picked this place because, apart from its unique feel and artsy beauty, the staff was very accommodating to our requests. They have a list of suggested vendors, but you aren't limited to a small group of contracted service suppliers, as with many, many other venues. The venue itself is beautiful inside, always covered with an array of glass art and complementary pieces, but the neighborhood can be hit-or-miss. This part of Saint Louis is currently on the upswing, and TGDF itself is very secure (Security Officers are provided to watch cars during the event, at no cost). Cody Meirick (Event Manager) handled all of our numerous requests with grace and expediency, and was a joy to work with. Jim McKelvey, co-founder, stopped by during our setup time to check on everything and actually came back for the reception (we invited him that day), took pictures, and chatted with our guests. My wife and I, along with each member of our wedding party, actually made a paperweight during our reception--how many other places provide a service like that!? Parking is decent, there's bar service on-sight, and it's hip. For a unique, memorable experience, we definitely recommend TDGF and staff. When you pay them a visit, be sure to check out the custom bathrooms.

I was very happy with this venue. My one complaint was that they promised a parking lot would be built by the time of our reception and it was not. But everyone was friendly and it was a wonderfully unique place to have a party!
