Whittemore House

My daughter's wedding reception was held here. The Whittemore House is such a unique place for a reception and everyone loved the elegance and charm of this place. Catering St. Louis provided delicious food that everyone complimented. Art is the director of the Whittemore House and is very helpful and responsive to any needs you may have. Overall, this is a great place for a wedding reception that everyone will enjoy.

Art and his staff were so accommodating. I would defintiely recommend the Whittemore House. They did everything we asked and more. I couldn't have asked for a better staff and a more beautiful wedding!

I 100% love the Whittemore House. Art was fantastic to work with. We had both our ceremony and reception at the Whittemore House. Our ceremony was outside and it was wonderful. The venue can hold 175 people for sit down dinner. Its the faculty club for WashU and loved that it was a unique venue not many of our guests had been to before. The food is amazing and Art is very accomadating to anything you need. The DJ set up can be a bit tricky - but we used a preferred vendor and were very confident in their services.

It was my second wedding and I wanted a small and intimate location - we were only having about 60 guests. The moment I walked into the Whittemore house, I knew that it was perfect. Art could not have been more accomodating and he was such a pleasure to work with, and it was obvious that he loves what he does and takes great pride in the home. It was exactly what we wanted our ceremony and reception to be - the food and drinks were wonderful and the service was amazing. I would recommend this venue 100%!

Catering St. Louis is an organization that provides mulitple options for your wedding day. They rent several different beautifully ornate and unique reception sites, and have a variety of menus to choose from as well. I ended up choosing the Whittemore House, a mansion across from Washington University, after finding out my first two choices were already booked. The manager (Art Casolari) at the Whittemore House was wonderful to work with, and very flexible. He was very easy to chat with, and prompt on returning phone calls or e-mails. The site was beautifully decorated the day of my wedding, and it far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend working with Catering St. Louis to anyone wanting a classy and elegant affair. I would also recommend booking your site at least a year in advance, and be prepared to spend money. It was originally above our budget, but we decided to lower our guest count for a more intimate gathering. It was, in the end, well worth the cost.
